How to Identify Past Life Friends, Lovers, & Enemies

Tempers flared, decibels rose. “You agreed to pay 25% when you moved in!” I insisted. “But you use more electricity during the day than I do!” my roommate shouted back, this sweet-looking, perfectly-put-together woman who never showed this side of herself in public.

We’d been at this angry impasse for days. Finally, a thought came to me and I spat: “You know, if we don’t work this out now, we’ll have to come back as a man and woman, get married, andshare a checkbook!”

At that point, the thought of marrying the other person was so abhorrent to us both that it worked like a splash of cold water. It didn’t hurt that we’d met in a past-life therapy class: we knew it could be true! After a stunned moment, we both broke out laughing.

Myths that can ruin your marriage

Myths about marriage abound. Some myths come from pop culture. For instance, a persistent myth is that your relationship should come easy when you’re with “the one,” said Jazmin Moral, LCSW-C, a psychotherapist who specializes in working with couples in Rockville, Md. Other misconceptions may be born closer to home — inside our own families. If your parents couldn’t argue without yelling and hurling insults, you might think that all conflict is bad and characterized by chaos. If your parents constantly clashed with your grandparents and made comments condemning all in-laws, you might expect to quarrel with yours. If your family had strong beliefs about what a good marriage looks like and expressed these beliefs on a regular basis, you might’ve internalized them yourself. The problem with myths is that when we mistake them for facts, they can potentially hamper our partnerships. Below, you’ll find seven persistent myths followed by their facts.

Home Remedies to Get Straight Hair

straight hair can be worn free flowing or styled in numerous ways. People who are not blessed with naturally straight hair often turn to chemical treatments to get rid of unruly waves and curls. Many beauty salons offer hair-straightening services with immediate results. The finished look lasts for a limited time, perhaps for a year. But after one year, your hair will start showing the side effects of the harsh chemicals and heated tools used during the treatment. This can include dry hair, allergy on the scalp and hair loss.
